Then lets start building the guild up! So we can make raiding parties etc.

Have they still not sorted out you account reused? Thats crazy if it takes a few days to reclaim your account from a hacker. Demand a couple of months credit to be put on your account.

Or has the hacker deleted your character and they need to dig it up from the DB of players.

probably is my problem... i managed to find a virus quite recently on my PC, but it's a little late now. time for the WoW admins to sort it and me to get back to gaming. if i'll play WoW much after this is yet to be decided.

I still find it hard to understand why its taking them so long to reclaim your account. If i couldnt play for more than a day i would be climbing the walls!

Maybe they are waiting for him to log-on so they can get his IP and prosecute him.

Surely you've got some sort of AV installed that would detect it (and when a virus is detected it comes up with a warning). If the Virus name was "PWSteal.Wowcraft" I'd think to myself...nows time to change my password. By the looks of things it's only infected 49 people so far, so the odds of it infecting you are also low (unless you download lots of random mods off sites like "www.wowmod.com/virus/mods" etc).

My guess is it's probably unrelated.

I actually did get one peculiar download that i've been regretting ever since i couldn't access my account. I'm not that stupid that i'd go and do that mojo.

It started when i was playing WoW about 5 hours into first playing it, as i opened wow it would then minimize itself and give me the internet explorer message you need to install so and so to display chinese characters, "網上推銷廣場等報" etc... after a couple of times i thought i'd just download it, so i did and it stopped coming up... The funny thing is that it was actually the windows addon that i downloaded to view chinese characters and i can now see them fine... i guess it makes it seem more legitimate, but honestly! only a fool would fall for it, that's why there's only 50 cases of it =)....
