Hey guys i play on your server regulary as u probably know, along with
[MM] Killkrazy [UK] and [MM] Deadman [UK]

I have just finished my latest map for CS:S and i would love it if u could put it onto your server please :)

ill check out the map myself atm (downloading, 30%). but the screenshots looks pretty damn nice..... but what about [MM] Psycho [UK]??. ;0

I've checked out the map and it looks pretty cool. I also discorvered some interesting glitches in the source engine.... Smoke grenades work underwater... flashbangs dont affect people underwater whether its thrown in the water or not, but affects people out of the water when thrown in...

back to the main topic, the sounds in the map are really neat. the only 1 thing i dont understand about the map is why you put the blue plastic barrels next to the water, but torment anyone by seperating them from the water with a fence!. how cruel! :(

Umm yeh,, im not sure how much [MM] Psycho [UK] plays actually,, i just mentioned the main players hehe,,, although i cant play at the moment because i only have 56k, for about 2 more weeks :(

hehe,, sweet, cheers,,, umm i could always remove the fence if i make an update to the map,, but u can still jump over it hehe,,,, :) It would probably be there in a real life situation,, but if u think it would make that area more fun then i could try it without. maybe..

If you make an update of the map, you could put a split in the fence so there space to shoot blue barrels through :D

Screenshots look cool, but I can't be assed downloading the map yet. one thing that drew my eye though...double height vents. I'm not really a fan cause the texture looks wrong.

hehe,, it might go a bit slow on 56k because my host is rather slow,, i think it was around an 8mb zip file,, inside that, the map extracts to about 18mb :)

We like it, i think the clan concensus is that it's far too hard to protect the bomb points, and playing with a c4timer of 35 seconds, its very hard to get form A to B vice versa to defuse, even with a kit

:)

Wont stop me playing it or having it on the server though!

yeah it was quite good, if a little big and the bombsite weren't very easy to find (i couldnt see and red target thingy) but apart from that, good!

Yeah its a good map - although the corridors being abit wide and open and as dex said "bomb sites are too far apart". Not sure about the T's vent, its abit useless but its an alternative.

Defending the sites isn't that bad, both CTs and Ts have to defend them at somepoint but the distance is always abit of a problem! Its looking good so far - might suggest a ladder or something to get out of that water, i couldn't find a way out of it lol.

Problem is, if you increase the C4 timer, then it makes it harder for the terrorists, however at th emoment, from the server stats as you can see, the CT's get slaughtered!

Cool, cheers people :lol: ,, Ye i know what u meen about the bomb sites being a bit far apart, especially if u go the lOng way around to the t spawn point. You can get out of the water at each side if u swim towards the rocks but i should make it more obvious i guess. I could make an update to the map if u think its worth it, but im never keen on doing updates because its a hassle for people to download it again hehe, but i will if u guys want me to.

I really wanna play it with people because i only have 56k at the moment so i cant play:( , i will be back at uni in a week or 2 where i have broadband so we will have to play it then hehe. :)

Yeah. a few tweaks would be good, i seriously think you have the "va-va-voom" as my colleagues over at invasionworks had with DOD, since we're on our own project now the HL mapping has stopped, but its something i'd really like to get into, besides admin jobs, but oh well :)

Im sure to find some time somewhere :)


Edit: If you want hosting like mine, i can do deals from £5 a month :)

why not? it doesn't stop me, im a regular 56k cs:s gamer, only limitation is my computer atm, as for some reason ive sorted it but now my mouse doesnt work at all, and no internet, its one thing after another

maybe complete format and reinstall is in order

Ok, I've formatted (like I said I would). And I'm now running xp x64 edition.
Only real difference is 2 versions of internet explorer, and drivers are harder to come by. Hence my CS:S is only running between 30-60fps most the time...so basicly I'm much worse now. I need the softmodding but I dunno how to set it up in 64 bit.

Cool, fair enuf,, Yes it would be a lot better with more people,, A couple of my clan mates told me that they could not download it through cs:s when the level changed,, so im not sure if anyone will be able to, which would lead to less people playin on it i guess.

because the detail is pretty damn good for a first go, everything seems to be ok, smooth all over, i managed to get out of the water, theres a little bit of a distance between bombsites but its makeable as long as you have a defuse kit, etc

for cs 1.6,, they are based off the film Alien. they are good, check um out if you have cs 1.6

de_redheat is the first full map i have made for CS:S

And have you considered an underwater passage, going straight to a cool bunker or something, then you'll have people asking "how'd he get there, I wish I knew so I would do as well as mojo...oh no he shot me again, man down, man down...Gotta love his skillz..urghh..."

P.S This only works if you make it uber secret and only tell me where the switch is (do we have a deal?)

It is 8.10mb,,, sorry for the slow download link,, But once deepblue has updated the version pn PK site you will be able to download it quiker..Should be done later today sumtime :)
