Playing yesterday afternoon from about 1pm to 11pm :-) the server rebooted quite a few times, all 3 PK servers went down for about 60 seconds then came back. It got so frequent at 10 that I stopped playing.

I presume its just a server issue and not a jolt one.
Notice that Enemy Down are under denial of service attack.

Also - should I be seeing more than just General (and 4 sub sections) in the Forums as I don't see any threads to do with practice or matches.

Cheers,
Argaf

yes argaf you should see more... need to sort your account - your login name might change to PK|Argaf instead of just argaf, so if you can't login thats why.

Server crashes, there was a windows update needed yesterday, so i rebooted the server and then last night i think Jolt went down from about midnight. But other than that i didnt see the server crash after 2pm. Did it start doing it again?

Thanks Cerro - let me know when to try the changed login name.

The Server crashed at least 10 times from 6 to 10pm last night.
At around 9pm it was crashing every 5-10 minutes.

Crash?

If the server comes back running dust then its crashed, otherwise its just a connectivity issue... I will get with jolt to see whats the issue is, if there is one, it may just be down to the internet being the internet

Demand a refund! The service hasn't been upto scratch with getting lagg and now this, the jolt servers are the Early Learning Centre of CS:S Server hosting... Sure they're big and shiny and they look good...when you actually try and use them they're not as good as they seem (ever tried undoing a screw with an ELC screwdriver? Damn hard I Tell you!)

lol. I'm pretty sure there's a clause in there that says we're allowed 3 days without service in a year - thats like 99% service over a year, which is pretty good when you look at it like that!

I've been having problems with my shots registering... it seems to happen most on Jolt servers. I was on other servers and it's amazing what a difference it makes. I was on 57-12 doing hs across the entire map of assult and owning everyone. I don't think it's down to the lower pings I get on other servers, it seemed to be more than that.
I dunno...maybe I'm wrong...just doesn't seem that good to me.

hmm i have my doubts its Jolt itself, probably the default config for their HL2 servers are abit off... ask what the tickrates and max rates are on the servers you play on and compare them with the jolt ones.

Thats a point...we've played around with our own setting alot (client end) but not done a great deal with the server itself (save changing the tick rate etc). I'll have words with the clan whos serever I was on and see what I can find out...I'll let you know if I find anything useful.

i have a much better reg on the SD:CS and a few other servers that have tickrates of 75 or more, they're rate limits are 25000 85 85 which makes a massive difference to my reg. Our server 3 is now tickrate 66 25000 80 80 and even that is a big difference to the publics settings of 33 20000 60 60

i am currently using 25000 100 100 and i find my bullets reg 100% of the time on ppl with a normal rate, but when someone comes along with

16000 30 20 or whatever i can't hit them, its a constant annoyance having to change everyones rates and then change mine too

Most of the time (due to my crappy connection/pc)

9500 40 45

works okay for me, occasionally the server goes into overdrive mode and my reg falls apart again, so ive got to work out a good-times set.
think i'll start at 14500 60 60 & tweak some of the other settings i have to use aswell
