When will we get cs_assault ?

We're happy that the recently released Counter-Strike: Source maps de_inferno and de_port have been so well received, and along those lines it's time to start talking about what's coming next. This week, we have a couple of screenshots from the remake of the classic Counter-Strike map cs_assault, which is now set in downtown Chicago.

Now that's 2 weeks ago - anyone any ideas when the new map will actually come out ?

Theres no hurry, based on the screenshot they put with it, it'll follow the likes of port and be played once in a blue moon.
Was it just me who thought the ladders in the screen shot looked pants?

(And to answer your question...give it 3 weeks based on their previous releases)

There are re-makes of these maps floating around. If you want, ask the lord of server#2 aka reused to track one down for you :smile:

i stab a guess at next month argaf, they seem to be releasing maps monthly now, plus they are putting loads of effort into Dod atm which is why maps for css may be delayed

lol lemming would be our cs:assault playtester.... something tells me it wont be cs_assault being released - ever. im waiting to see, it looks very different - its not even at night!

lol it even gave me an excuse to buy nightvision! I can be a noob again... well mansion was the other time you needed nightvision cause even the flashlight was never enough for that map!

er yes lemming - don't tell me you never noticed... if you've played splinter cell you'll know the sound of nightvision but with cs:s there's no map that needs it. So its a shame assault will be daylight, i wanted an excuse to buy it - mind you it does cost like £2000 or something.

when i have loads of money i always equip nightvision as well, because if someone lobs in a smoke nade, nightvision penentrates the smoke better so you can see around, so does flashlight, BUT, others can't see ure nightvision, and half of u are running the exec, so ure flash lights don't work? or do they, i dunno!?
