So what do you think of our new forums?
It only cost around £175 for vbulletin, we'll be billing you all soon...
lol, only joking. We need to change this ghastly default theme, there's loads but you've got to buy them - typical! But the options for this are so much better, well once we've done some fine tuning. The theme will be the biggest change, then some smilies, profile changes and other bits and bobs. The calendar will probably be coming soon too!
You will also notice we got attachments, so you can add photos there! As well email notification to threads for those of you who are eager for replies...

Nicely converted over, everyone seems to be going vBulletin these days.
I presume you can replace the vBulleting logo with the clan one.
A dark theme would be nice.

Yeah, they're not bad, little harder to read with such a bright theme, and a different setup. I'm sure it'll be great...not sure about £175 great though...I assume thats a one off payment?

I miss the "view posts since last visit feature" I used it all the time...also this new theme is worse than the old one...it's hard to see when theres background light :(

what are rep power for?
PK|Deep Blue
28th May 2005, 05:46 PM
Reputation is earned by people giving it to you, for instance for a helpful post. It can be setup to give people who earn reputation more rights and privilaged, ie moderators, but for now you can only build up rep points

Maybe on a larger forum or a tech help forum it would be useful, but I can really see the use of it.
I mean if someone is dishing out loads of advice for you to try on a tech forum, and they've got a low rep, it's useful as you know to take what they say with a pinch of salt. But on here, we basicly just chat....seems a bit redundant.

reputation is ok, i can't see why it would be a prob because in the end all it is, is a little bar on the right don't exactly take up much space, and if you don't want to rep ppl don't in the end you don't have to use it...
