My Uncle (god bless him) Actually bought me a New lens for Christmas, Only got it on Saturday. Was a complete surprise and I never expected or imagined my Uncle would spend that much on a Christmas Pressie for me.

I could have used those extra 100mm for my moon shot! Look forward to seeing some pics from this Amesy!

I'll try and upload what I've taken so far, tonight.

My only gripes with it are that the min. focusing distance is 1.5m and it hunts quite a bit in low light.
These things aside, the images are beautifully crisp and clear and the contrast is fantastic. the outer glass is coated in a glare-resistant coating illiminating the need for the UV filter. Plus its the same size ring diameter as my other lens so my C.Polariser fits it. Hurray!

Theresa has bought me a new Tripod as well.

I've only just ordered it so don't know when it'll get here. Although the name is not very well know, the reviews I have found say that they are as good and sturdy as Manfrotto stuff, just without the price tag that comes with such a big name.

You should add a few contacts on pix.ie, generally if you add someone they add you back, and that way you get more views, and we all know more views = win :)
