Howdo,

After much soul searching I have decided not to build my own PC namely due to my lack of indept knowledge of all of the various bits and pieces and compatability between said pieces. Also I wanted to make it somewhat futureproof but again here is where a little bit of knowledge could lead me into a world of hurt...

So I have been stalking Komplett and their Gamer Configurations. This is their latest one and since Cerro seems to be the most knowledgeable (from posts) could you give your opinion (and suggestions from their Customizable options) - Max cost I could handle is €1500 ....

Anyone else please feel free to jump in as I am sure Cerro is not the only tech-head in this Clan.

Cheers
Eoin

Something like that...

if you wanted a better motherboard (more gubbins):
MSI P35 Platinum, P35, Socket-775, DDR2, Firewire, 1333FSB, ATX,GbLAN, 2xPCI-Ex16

I've not included an OS - i'll assume you can get one yourself. Though Win XP can be abit of a pain to install on the DS3R motherboard. Don't get a 32Bit version of Vista though, that would be a waste. No mouse, keyboard or monitor, unless you want to switch to new ones...

You could switch the main hard disk for something like:
Western Digital Raptor 150GB SATA 16MB 10000RPM
