Hi Lads/Lady,

I've noticed my video card and my monitor both have DVI sockets, at the moment I'm using the VGA sockets, should I be using DVI, and what'll it do for me?

Thanks,
Hugh

DVI gives a sharper picture so beats VGA as analogue conversion is not required, the signal stays digital.

In the monitors native res - DVI vs VGA isn't a huge difference but DVI is always that little bit sharper as it handles more data. On anything other than the native res DVI is clearly MUCH better, especially when it comes to reading text.

In short, if you've got DVI use DVI.
